Restaurant

· Dangerous obstacles on the exterior of the building which could harm customers or employees.

· Cleanliness of exterior structure and parking lot.

· Employees smoking outside in un-designated smoking areas.

· Proper greeting by the host when entering establishment?

· Cleanliness of the inside of the restaurant and restrooms.

· Proper dress of the wait staff.

· General demeanor and conduct of the staff.

· Server knowledge of the menu and helpfulness in selection.

· Server suggestive sell and up-sell to increase guest check averages.

· Servers reaching the table in a timely manner with drinks, appetizers, entrees, etc.

· Make sure the order is correct.

· Proper food preparation and presentation.

· Proper staff for the volume of business.

· Staff using obscene language within hearing distance of the customers.

· Staff touching one another in inappropriate ways in view of the customers.

· Visibility of the Manager.

· Proper thanks when departing from the building.

· Overall experience.

Bar Staff

· Proper up-sell of liquor by the bartender.

· Over-pouring or under-pouring by the bartender.

· Bartender giving away drinks to family, friends, or co-workers.

· Drinking or intoxicated bartenders.
